‘15 seconds a lifetime’

Really enjoyed this documentary.
From the beginning of time, man has craved social standing and will continue to. Man has also been lonely and sought meaning and will continue to. Social media puts these cravings on steroids. Director Divya Kharnare follows TikToker Mayur for a whole year covering his hopes and dreams, his loving, unintentionally hilarious family and his several attempts at going viral. His life becomes virtual, virtual becomes real, his desperation offline leads him to seek meaning online, eventually he begins questioning the meaning of his life altogether!
TikTok democratised social media and people of our class hated on it because it gave access to a class of people we wanted to keep away. This film is hilarious and humane. So happy that Hardik Mehta produced it, hopefully giving it the platform this indie film deserves! Catch it when you can.
